| PCMA uses the following guidelines
for underwriting. They are in strict accordance with FCC rules and regulations
and are the same guidelines used by universities, colleges, religious organizations,
and other non-profit organizations.
Your message may include, but not necessarily limited to, the following information: 1- Your company name, address, location, and phone number 2- Value neutral descriptions of products or services 3- Official slogans that identify but do not promote 4- Brand names, trade names, and their slogans 5- Number of years in business or in the area There is no time limit on your announcement other than common sense. Most will be close to 30 seconds in order to fit into our programming schedule.
On the other hand the FCC prohibits four types of messages for non-commercial stations: 1- Messages containing price information (all cars selling at 1% below invoice) 2- Messages containing a call to action (stop by our store today and check our low prices) 3- Messages containing an inducement to buy, sell, rent, or lease (10% off this week only) 4 - Messages containing comparative or qualitative language (the best candy store in Payson) KRIM appreciates all of your donations, memberships, and underwriting.
